5th Sunday

Oh how I love them.

Mark & I had another wonderful 5th Sunday. We dropped the kids off at my parents and Mark took me out to lunch. Once we finished, we drove Mark's bus route so he is ready for tomorrow morning. (Driving a bus route might not sound like fun - but 2 uninterrupted hours with my hubby...lovey.)

We all had a great day. When we went to pick up the kids, Eddie said he didn't want to go home. :)

I love this tradition that my parents have started. We all look forward to the next one.

(Mark informed me that the next 5th Sunday is in October.)

5 & 29

Today was the 5th Sunday of the month.

On the 5th Sunday, Grandpa & Grammum claim Eddie for the day. I admit...I was really looking forward to this one. Between Eddie being sick & not sleeping the best and me being pregnant...I've been tired. On most 5th Sundays we will go to lunch at my parents' house after church and then leave Eddie for the afternoon. But today...Eddie spent the day with Grandpa, Grammum & his aunties.

Mark & I skipped church, went out for breakfast and watched movies.

It was wonderful.

For all of us.

I love this tradition.

Today was also the first day of my 29th week of pregnancy.

This pregnancy is flying. I thought I should take a belly photo...

Can't really tell....let me turn.

Ahhh....there is the belly!

I had another appointment last week. Everything is great & right on track. I passed the gross orange drink test & the baby's heartbeat was in the 140's. I'm still feeling really well. By this point with Eddie I had the worst heartburn & knew all the best spots to stop for chocolate milk. I do get hot flashes now, which I haven't experienced before and my back/hips can hurt at night. Oh, and I get tired. When Eddie naps, so do I. :)

Tonight Mark & I were talking. I keep telling him about things I want to get done before the baby comes...I think it is time to start tackling that list because this kid is going to be here before I know it!

5th Sunday

Aah, freedom to basically do whatever I want.

Including moving all of Auntie Audrey's stuffed animals into the living room.

I love that the rules are different at my grandparents' houses!

5th Sunday

What a wonderful weekend. I tried to narrow down the photos of my adventures...but it was hard and so this one got a bit long. On Friday we went with my Grammum to an appointment and met Auntie Em for lunch.

I still love the nose beep game!

Friday night Mommy & Daddy went to see the movie 'Up'. They really liked it. Daddy said that I can watch it with them when I get older...I wonder how old I have to be...I'm going to be 1 soon!

I know they had fun, but I think I had more fun. Grammie and Grandpa came to play! I was FULL of it and and stayed up way past my bedtime playing with them!

Saturday morning we went to Aunt Audrey's softball game. She didn't get to play, but she helped with warm-ups. She also ran past us between innings. Grandpa said it was to keep her muscles warm. I kept waving at her...but she didn't see me. She was focused.

Grandpa & I played in the dirt.

I also picked some flowers. Mommy wouldn't let me eat them.

I got Aunt Audrey's attention!

Saturday afternoon Great Uncle Paul came to help Daddy figure a few things out on the boat. What should have taken a few minutes...took 2 hours. Mommy said that when men look like this...it's a good time to stay out of the way. We peeked at them through the window.

On our way to the softball game, we made a pit stop at a garage sale. Daddy spotted what Mommy has been looking for as we were driving by. Mommy jumped out of the car and ran to it. She saw the price, told the lady she wanted to buy it and then returned to Daddy and he emptied his pockets. It was perfect. Daddy had just what my new wheels cost...$3.

I love my little car. I inspected every bit of it. I had a smile on my face the whole time and whenever Mommy would open the door, I would close it. I can't wait to go cruising with my friend!

To top off our wonderful weekend, today was the 5th Sunday of the month. Mommy & Daddy dropped me off bright & early at Grandpa & Grammum's. They went out to breakfast, made it to chruch for practice and Mommy took a 3 hour nap! I had a great time banging on pots with Grammum, being chased by my aunts and putting my finger prints all over Grandpa's glasses. I was so pooped when I got home! I fell asleep half way through demonstrating my new trick.

Mommy said this trick worries her a bit. :P

A few firsts.

I cut my finger on the vent again (I really love those things and am able to get to them no matter what Mommy puts in my way), I would not sit still long enough for Mommy to get the bleeding to stop and so I got my very first band-aid. She knew I would take it off, but was hoping that I would keep it on long enough to get the bleeding to stop. I was too busy getting my books off the shelf and 'reading' them to notice the band-aid at first.

Can you see it? It's on my left middle finger...it's an Incredibles tattoo band-aid.

I couldn't decide what book to eat, so I tried to get both in my mouth.

While I was playing so nicely, Mommy took a picture of my room. I moved back in on Saturday. Mommy still has a few more things to hang, but this is my new carpet and newly painted walls. I only got a little blood on the carpet.

Mommy & Daddy were trying to get ready to go out with Jon & Aunt Julie so I got tossed in my bed. Mommy figures I can't get into any trouble there. Silly Mommy! She was a bit panicked when she came to get me a few minutes later and saw the band-aid was gone. She let out a gasp while searching that brought Daddy into the room to help find the missing band-aid. It was hiding under my taggy, I didn't eat it as she had feared. :)

Mommy and Daddy had a great time with Jon & Aunt Julie. They went out for pizza, climbed a siloh, played Ticket to Ride Europe and had lots of laughs. Mommy mentioned some story about flies...but said if she tells the story she might not eat pizza again...she is pretty sure they will not be going back to that restaurant again. I stayed home and had a great time playing with Grandpa & Grammie.

Sunday morning before we went into church I was told that if I was too wiggly, I would be brought to the nursery. I decided that I wanted to be by my friends. While I was great entertainment for the ladies in the row behind us, I got my wish and Daddy brought me to the nursery. :)

It was the 5th Sunday of the month and my day with Grandpa & Grandma. Mommy & Daddy were allowed to stay for lunch, but then left so I could have Grandpa & Grandma all to myself. Grandpa built lots and lots of towers for me to knock down!

I wore my spiffy shirt from Great Aunt Ann to church. Mommy said I looked so handsome and wanted my picture...but I didn't feel like it.

I am being a silly sleeper. I get so tired that I just flop over! Mommy has tried to move me, but I wake up. So lately she makes sure I can get enough air and leaves me be. Daddy keeps reminding her that my Doctor told her that I am a big boy and can wiggle around if I can't breathe...but Mommy still worries.

Mommy and Daddy came to get me before night church. I was all dressed and ready to go. We had a fun potluck dinner and I got to sit with my friend Ellery. After a busy weekend I was pooped and ready for bed before the program was over. Daddy kept playing with me to keep me awake. He was tossing me over his shoulder and I thought it would be great fun to show everyone what I had for dinner! I'm sure that was the highlight of everyone's evening!

All in all, it was a pretty eventful weekend, my first band-aid, first night in my new room and first potluck where I decided to 'share' my apricots. I wonder what adventures next week will hold!

My 1st fifth Sunday

I am Grammum's little action figure. She was calling me a doll...but Daddy showed her how I can fly with my super bib cape.

Today was my 1st fifth Sunday. Long before my arrival was even announced, Grammum had heard about a tradition that she wanted to incorporate. Whenever there is a fifth Sunday in a month, that is grandparents' day. Mommy and Daddy are allowed to come to lunch, but then the rest of the day, my future cousins and I get to spend the day with Grandpa and Grammum. I am the only one right now...but someday there will be more of us.

Auntie Em and I played with Maddie before lunch.

I was doing really well with Maddie, until I tried to chew on her. That's when Aunt Audrey pulled her away. After Mommy and Daddy left I did lots and lots of playing. I didn't even take my usual naps because there were so many things to do! We played with Maddie, my play mat, looked at the snow flying and I even helped Aunt Audrey read her book. I had a great time. I wonder when the next fifth Sunday will roll around?
