oh wow.

before it becomes THREE months since I've updated...
I thought I'd finally post something.

(I have no excuses...just a bad blogger.)

I last left off with Ellie in her harness,
Dani just turned 2 and Eddie was busy being Eddie.

For anyone who is interested...here are the highlights:
(get comfy - I think this is going to be long!)

Dani had a big TWO year old birthday party...

 (I really can't believe she is 2)

 We had an owl party...because I love asking her what an owl says.  

She has the cutest little, 'hoo, hooooo'

I printed out a photo of her from each month.  

It was so much fun seeing her 'grow' in the photos.

It is hard to see the changes that happen everyday, but seeing them stretched out from month to month was amazing. 

(I had to include this one of a tiny Ellie Belly - she has changed the most in the last few months!!)


I tried to get a picture of the kids together in their Easter outfits...

but Dani didn't want to.


We did get a few pictures in the tulips before they all wilted.

 Eddie is wearing the same costume as previous years. My mom made it when he was 10 months old and has just been adding length.  Seriously impressed with her skills!!  Dani is wearing a costume my mom made for me and my sister and Ellie is wearing Dani's old one shortened up a lot. :)


This little girl is super duper happy!!  She is such a blessing!!

Mothers Day was a very special one.  

Ellie was baptized.
here is the slideshow that played at the service...

after the service, we had a wonderful family lunch.

What also added to the day was Eleanor's dress.

My mom made it for her to cover her harness.

It is so special.

She used pieces of my wedding dress.

 

After making the slide show, I noticed how I don't have many photos of just Ellie.  

I am trying to change that...she is a really happy girl.

This is why it is so hard to get Ellie's photo alone...

and this is just funny.

Eddie and Dani seem to think that any toy we get out for Ellie, is fair game.

We've had some rollerskating parties...

 I like these indoors.

Less wear and tear on the buns.

Dani is actually quite good. 

Eddie isn't bad, but he has fear where his sister has none.

Eddie has gotten quite big into superheroes.

Mainly Batman.

Ok.  Only Batman.

Mark introduced him to the 1966 Batman with Burt Ward & Adam West.

 And if Eddie is into something...so is his sister.

Ellie has no choice.

We've been spending lots of time trying to cool off...

the splash pad was a favorite until it popped

thankfully sprinklers are super fun too.

June 12 was a wonderful day when we found out Ellie's ultrasound 

was perfect and she could be HARNESS FREE!!

we celebrated by visiting the ducks

which really wasn't too big of a celebration 

because we went after every appointment. :)

We had a wonderful Father's Day...

the kids were SO proud of the pictures they painted for Daddy

I tried a group shot.

I love the harness free piggies!!

School ended and tennis camp began.

Eddie's age group was the 2nd week.

After the 1st day of not totally loving sharing his Dad, 

Eddie did better and enjoyed camp.

 It was fun not only watching Eddie progress through the week, 

but watching Mark 'in action'.  (So proud of him!!)

Dani wanted to play in the worst way.

Mark had a birthday.

We gave him guitar lessons.  

(something he's always wanted to do)

I really enjoy listening to him practice.

Found out Ellie is vertically challenged like her sister 

and has a hard time reaching the ground on the exersaucer.  

Eddie and Dani have started showing her how to play with the toys.

We had a 'staycation'.  

Which we kind-of stunk at this year.  

We did get things figured out by the end and had some great family time.

We took a small tree down in the backyard - kids thought they were BIG stuff!!
(I love how Mark includes them in things like this.)

Eddie turned FOUR and we had a Batman birthday party

And we just got back from a trip to the cottage with Mark's family. 

(So much fun!!)

Eddie caught his first fish

and then saw the hook in it's mouth.  

Eddie said he 'stuck him'

Then fishing wasn't as much fun.

Dani had fun in the kayak.

And Ellie chilled on the beach.

(she was seriously a power sleeper while we were away!

But wouldn't sleep on the beach.  Too much to see!)

There.  That has to be my longest post EVER!!

But I'm all caught up.
