Set...Five...JUMP!

Eddie, you have an endless energy & curiosity. I took a video while we were playing outside the other day. I wanted to catch you jumping from the step. You say, 'Set, five, jump!' I think it is a combination of when we say, ready...set...go! And when we count to 5.

So adorable.

I can NOT believe that you are 23 months old and will be turning 2 next month! You are growing so fast. You have no fear and that becomes very clear when we are playing outside. (Which you LOVE to do.) You seem to size everything up and think, 'I can climb that'.

This month sentences have been big. You are starting to pair 3 words together and understand everything that Daddy and I say. (Even when you are testing your limits and pretend you don't know what we are telling you...we know you do!)

My favorite of your common sayings...'love you'. It melts my heart every time! You have been saying it for a few months, but not on a regular basis. Now I get to hear those words all day long and I love it.

You are also getting good with 'please' & 'thank you'. You will say, 'bless you' when you hear a sneeze and when people are leaving you have a string of phrases. You start with 'bye, bye' and move on to 'take care' and 'back soon' (which means 'come back soon').

When you are crying, you now announce that you are by saying, 'crying'. It basically means you need a hug. After a short hug you will announce that you are 'all better' and run on your way. You also make sure to announce when Dani is crying.

You are a wonderful big brother and dote on your sister. You ask to 'carry you' (which means you want to hold her) daily. You are such a big boy and like to bring her blankets & toys (which you try & stack on top of her). You love to give her kisses or direct other people to give her a kiss. :)

One not so fun thing we've learned this month is that you have allergies. We believe that you have Oral Allergy Syndrome. Basically it means that you react to the pollen mixing with the proteins in some fresh fruits. You react more when the pollen count is high, which is why we have discovered it this spring. We are hoping that once the count goes down, you won't have as many reactions. Your doctor said to let you try things to find out how you react & avoid things we know that you have trouble with.

We have not had you diagnosed because the process is quite traumatic from someone your age, so we plan to wait until you are at least 5. Of course, you are in the small percentage that has a more violent reaction. After a particularity scary episode that you had with kiwi at Grammie's house, the doctor prescribed an epi-pen for you. We now carry it wherever you go.

Even though it is happening so quickly, Daddy & I are loving every second of watching you grow! You do and say things everyday that make me smile with pride. We love you so much! You are such a wonderful blessing.

ISn't it fabulous when they say "love you?" So worth it. WE have an allergy boy too. Poor little man!

Aw, so fun to see all he's into and all the things he says! Stinks about the allergy.
