Double Digits

You are ten months old little man. I know each month I say that I cannot believe how much you can grow in a month...and I'm going to say it again. I cannot believe how much you've grown and learned this month.

While I still call you my baby...you are much more of a little boy. You are always on the move. You have learned how to crawl on all fours. You still do your army crawl, but only when you think it will be faster. You also will stick a leg straight out to try and speed up the process. This move usually ends with you taking a nose dive into the floor, I'm sure it won't be long before you change that move into standing up and running.

Not much is out of your reach anymore. I'll think something is out of your grasp, but then you pull yourself up and grab it.

You like to empty your bookshelf in your room. You clear off everything you can reach. You have not tried to take your CD player off the top, but I'm sure it won't be long before you do.

You have a little goofy grin that you get when you succeed. You get so excited like you are saying, 'I did it!'

You are so happy. You are a joy to be around. I love your laughs, your giggles and your grunts. I love your smiles. Sometimes you will look at me and smile for no reason. I then grin at you and we go back and forth until we are both laughing.

We have been enjoying the change in weather. We have been able to play outside and go on walks again. You are not so sure of the grass. You will touch it, but do not speed across it yet.

Another bonus of the nicer weather is that you won't have to wear your hat for too much longer. That is really nice for me because you are not a fan of hats.

When you are outside, you get all quiet and take it in. It takes a little bit of time before you start talking.

You are a good little talker. I love your babbles. I especially love it when you say, mamamamamama over and over. It melts my heart.

You are good at daddadadaada too. :)

You love to pull yourself up on the gate. You like to 'sneak' around the corner to it. You always look to make sure I'm following you, but you look like you've been caught when I round the corner.

I finally bought you some smaller clothing. I was so sure you'd be in the next size because you were skipping sizes like crazy, but I was wrong. While you are still growing, it is in length. You are not packing on the pounds like you once were. While I kept thinking you'd grow into the larger clothing, you kept tripping over the excess fabric. Your pants were able to fall below your diaper butt. Not good.

You have lots of new tricks. You'll play 'so big', cluck your tongue, play peek-a-boo and wave bye-bye. But only when you feel like it. It's pretty cute. When you don't want to, you give me a look like...really Mom?

Everything goes into your mouth. If I hand you something, you instantly try to taste it. I thought for the longest time that it was because you are teething, which I know is sometimes the case, you've now started to put anything in your mouth. In the last few days I've pulled out a fuzzie and part of a leaf. We now make sure that shoes stay by the back door. It doesn't do tons of good, because you like to crawl to the back door to play with shoes.

You are such a sweet little man. We love watching you grow and experience new things. I admit that I thought you'd stay a baby a little longer...but I wouldn't trade this for anything. I love watching you experience life. Daddy and I love you so much and are so proud of you!
