back to reality

We are working on getting back into our routine. We had a wonderful Spring Break and enjoyed having Mark home with us. This week is going to seem a bit dull for Eddie. I am not nearly as goofy as Daddy and last week he went out to lunch 3 days in a row. Thursday out with Daddy and Grandpa, Friday we met Great-Grandma and Saturday we went out with the 3 of us.

He looked so cute and grown-up I just had to take his picture on Saturday.

We wanted to have a family outing before school started back up. We thought we would go see a butterfly exhibit. Turns out the rest of the people who didn't leave town had the same idea. After seeing the line from the parking lot and a near fender bender, we decided to move on. We ended up at the zoo. I'm so glad we did. It wasn't as crowded and we all had fun.

Eddie really enjoyed the mountain lion.

We stayed for awhile and watched the lion climb up and down its rocks. Eddie didn't take his eyes off of him.

What was he watching so intently...?

Was it the big lion...?

Nope. It was the ceiling fan at the top of the hut.

We watched the monkeys for awhile too.

And the fish.

Eddie was pretty quiet and took it all in. It wasn't until we were leaving that he started to crack the smiles.

Our family.

We had such a great week. We didn't get everything done around the house that we had planned, but we figure we haven't had cabinet doors since October and we can wait a while longer. We are so blessed that Mark has such a wonderful job and that he gets breaks throughout the year.

How nice you could all spend some time together this week. I love the family pic of the three of you.

You should come out to Colorado where you could see a mountainion in the wild. That's one of my biggest fears. It looks like you guys had a great week off together!
