Monday

When I was growing up I used to hate Mondays. I admit that they still are not my favorite. We never did anything on Mondays. I totally understand why now. It's to recover from the weekend. I was told that Sundays are hardest day on little kids because everything seems to hit at nap time. Yesterday was a perfect example. Church in the morning...lunch...dinner with friends. While we had a lot of fun...Eddie didn't have a good nap yesterday. And last night, Eddie & I had gDiaper issues & we were both running on little sleep this morning.

Even with little sleep - Eddie was a real trouper today. It didn't work today to stay home...or maybe I didn't want to stay home & he handled it really well. I was so proud of him.

We went to meet my Dad & Emily for lunch. After a little snooze in the car, Eddie was excited to look around at the restaurant. Grandpa was holding him & both aunts were trying to get his attention. What did we do before he got here?

Once home, he snuggled down for a nap. At one point, we were sitting on the couch and I was just going to close my eyes for a moment. Before I knew it, Mark was home and Eddie & I had slept for almost 2 hours!


Today was the first day of school. Usually I get up early & get a picture of Mark before he leaves. This year I was up & said good-bye...but I totally forgot to snap a photo. I had to wait until evening when he got home. Oh well.

It was a pretty fun day...especially for a Monday.
