Last night we gave Eddie a bath and decided to try & make it to church. It all depended on when Eddie decided to eat. At 9:05am he had a full tummy and was dressed & ready. Mark & I were another story. We both got ready in record time & made it to church by 9:35am. We were basically on time...we only missed the welcome. Eddie wore his super cute overalls, which are HUGE on him, but oh so cute. He slept the whole service, only stirring when the air would blow on him. We made the mistake of sitting under an air vent. We've never had to watch out for those before when sitting down. We are learning new things every day. We were really proud of how he did and it was fun to show him off.
We headed to Mark's parents for lunch & then tonight we went to my parents so Mark could interview Audrey for his graduate class.
When Eddie was born we wrapped him in a blanket & sent it home with my mom so that our family dog, Maddie could get used to his smell. When we visit, Maddie is always interested in Eddie. She will stay near him or if she isn't sitting next to him, she will come to check on him if he cries. When he's not wearing socks, she'll lick his feet as she walks by. It was really cute tonight, Emily was holding Eddie & Maddie came up to get a sniff and make sure everything was good.
It was a fun day and with all the activity Eddie had a hard time finding sleep tonight, after fighting it for a bit he snuggled down & is now cozy in bed. I think I'm going to hit the hay as well.

Isn't it amazing how much your love can grow in such a short amount of time?
That's great that you made it to church and all went well! I remember being SO nervous there would be a big blowout or something else disasterous...which will come someday. That's cute about the dog....they'll be good buds I'm sure.
The picture of Eddie, Emily & Maddie is SO cute!! My grandpa was excited that he met Eddie! :)
